“The Office” ended in May 2013, more than 9 years ago, but Dunder Mifflin still has surprises in store for us. NBC through Peacock revealed a never-before-seen deleted scene that would belong to episode 10 of the fifth season, titled “The Surplus”. In the chapter, Oscar (Oscar Nuñez) informs Michael Scott (Steve Carell) that the office has to spend $ 4,300 from the annual budget or will lose it next year. Of course, this wreaks havoc in the office when all employees fight to buy what they want.
The new scene in question sees Michael telling the rest of the office the story of a 12-year-old boy who dreams of a Pippi Longstocking doll for Christmas, only to receive a soccer ball instead. Obviously the baby is Michael himself and the story is meant to be a lesson in appreciating what we have so they stop asking for things like a working copier or new chairs. How come? Well, to keep it with a 15% reward for returning the change. Jim (John Krasinski), Pam (Jenna Fischer), Creed (Creed Bratton), Oscar, Kevin (Brian Baumgartner) and Meredith (Kate Flannery)
The episode that nearly killed them
On June 14, ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ was visiting Bryan Cranston, who in addition to being a great actor took his first steps in directing. In particular in ‘The Office’ he directed the fourth episode of the last season, ‘The office bus’, in which almost all the cast members die. And let’s not talk about fiction. As Cranston told Stephen Colbert, Jenna Fischer saved everyone’s life.

Apparently the air conditioning system was installed too close to the exhaust pipe, causing a blockage. “Jenna said ‘I can smell exhaust, she’s getting on the bus'”tells the protagonist of ‘Breaking Bad’, “I said ‘Jenna, I mean, let’s see, it’s not possible, how could it be possible? We have air conditioning.’ But she insisted, ‘No, he’s coming in.’ “Finally, when Cranston got into a chair to sniff near the air machine, he got dizzy, realizing he was right, and admits with a pun. : “We could all have died. It would have been a fatal episode.”
For now you have the whole series available on Netflix and Prime Video and from 4th July also on HBO Max.
