Many fans have wondered who exactly Sigourney Weaver he’s playing James Cameron’S Avatar: The way of waterand that information has been shared! We thought she was going to play a new and different character, and in a surprising revelation, we learn that Weaver plays a teenage Na’vi character named Kiri, and she is Jake’s adopted daughter (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana).
When he talked about his character in an interview with Empire, he said, “I think we all remember more or less what we felt as teenagers. Of course I do. I was 5 ’10” or 5′ 11 “when I was 11. strongly that Kiri would be uncomfortable most of the time. He’s looking for who he is. I was thrilled to get that challenge from Jim.
Cameron added: “As an acting, it’s a big challenge. We will have an actor in his 60s who will play a character [decades younger than] its actual biological age. Sig thought it was all fun. Sigourney just got younger. He looked younger, had more energy, and never quite got out of Kiri throughout our capturing period. She had a luminous face, lightness of step and a funny spirit ”.
This is a pretty cool detail from the film and I love the fact that Weaver will play a teenage character and it’s fun to hear that she embraced him completely and, as Cameron said, “she got younger”.
The sequel is set more than a decade after the events of the first film. “He begins to tell the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri and their children), the problems that follow them, the lengths they go to protect each other, the battles they fight to stay alive and the tragedies they face.
Avatar: The way of water will be released in theaters on December 14, 2022. Here is another image of Weaver’s character on the cover of the magazine.
