Netflix’s live-action series adaptation of Avatar: The Ultimate Airbender finished production after more than seven months of shooting in Vancouver, Canada. To celebrate the conclusion of the production, the star of the series Gordon Cormier shared a behind-the-scenes photo on Instagram, showing up with other stars from the series Dallas Liu, Kiaventiio TarbellAnd Ian Ousley.

Cormier plays Aang, “a fearless, fun-loving 12-year-old who happens to be the Avatar, the master of all four elements and the keeper of balance and peace in the world. An airbender prodigy, Aang is a reluctant hero, struggling to face the weight of his duties while maintaining his adventurous and playful nature.

Liu plays Zuko, “a skilled firebender and the intense and guarded crown prince of the Fire Nation. Currently wandering the world in exile, he is obsessively seeking to capture the Avatar because he believes it is the only way to reclaim his life and live up to the demands of his cruel and controlling father, the Lord of Fire. .

Tarbell plays Katara, “a determined and hopeful water ruler, the latest in her little village. Although she is only fourteen, she has already suffered a great personal tragedy, which has prevented her from reaching her true potential, even though she has never tarnished her warm and caring spirit.

Ousley plays Sokka, “Katara’s sardonic and resourceful sixteen-year-old brother. Outwardly confident, even cheeky, he takes his responsibility as head of his tribe seriously, despite his inner doubts about his warrior skills … he doubts to mask with his wit and his deadpan sense of humor.

The creative team behind the series includes Alberto Kim (Sleepy Hollow), who writes the series and acts as showrunner. Kim will also executive produce the show together Dan Lin, Lindsey Liberator, Michele GoiAnd Roseanne Liang. Directors of the series include Jabar RaisaniGoi and Liang.

There’s no set date for the premiere yet, but like many of you, I’m curious to see how this adaptation will turn out. When previously there was talk of the series, the actor Paul Sun-Hyung Leewho plays Iroh of the Fire Nation, Prince Zuko’s uncle who pays attention to his banished nephew, said this adaptation will be deeper and more mature:

“Let’s be honest, the first season of the animated series was geared towards young children, but as the books progressed, the themes became a lot more mature and you still have that whimsical quality, but the themes were much deeper and the arcs of the characters were much more mature. That quality is what they’re trying to bring to season one. ”

You can’t wait to see this live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Ultimate Airbender? no matter how the series turns out, there is no doubt that these young actors had a great time making it!
