Cameron Diaz will not retire from acting in Netflix action comedy BACK IN ACTION Facing Jamie Foxx

Cameron Diaz (There is something about Mary, My best friend’s Wedding, Charlie’s angels) announced that he will not retire from acting to join the group Jamie Foxx (Ray, Warranty, Spider-Man: There is no way to go home) in the action comedy Back in action to Netflix. In the spirit of full disclosure, I have to admit that I don’t remember Diaz announcing his retirement. I know she became a mom a couple of years ago, so it seemed like the natural reason we haven’t seen her in a while, but I didn’t know she was official. It doesn’t matter, though, why she’s back.

The plot of the action comedy is kept under wraps, but Seth Gordon (Terrible bosses) directs from a script with which he wrote Brendan O’Brien (Neighborhood). Beau Bauman (Central Intelligence) is producing for Good One Productions alongside Gordon for Exhibit A, with Foxx, Datari Turner, O’Brien and Mark McNair serving as executive producers.

Foxx teased the new project this morning on Twitter via an audio clip of a phone conversation with Diaz, who confesses that she is “so excited” but “anxious” to get back into acting. Diaz Diaz: “I don’t know how to do it, you know?” Foxx then called in a retirement expert and not, none other than the great NFL icon, Tom Bradywho gave a little pep talk to Diaz.
