In the history of cinema, many plots have shocked us, made us think, reflect and more, but few endings have been as unexpected as those of these suspense films on Netflix, which surely you will have to see more than once to fully understand it.

The left island

Director Martin Scorsese doesn’t usually have a twist in his films, as it’s more about the plot of his characters. However, in ‘The left island’ has one of the most unexpected endings of his filmography. In the final stretch, Leonardo DiCaprio’s character faces the truth that ended his family.

The butterfly effect

With ‘The Butterfly Effect’ its ending is a bit complicated, since it has two alternative closings to its story, but the official nature of this thriller on netflix is the one where Evan is Evan recognizes Kayleigh when he meets her on the street, but keeps walking.

Lost

A master of twists is director David Fincher, and “Gone Girl” was no exception. Well, in one of his best suspense films, we see how the character of Ben Affleck, after what happened with his wife, confesses to the cameras that they will become parents.

Annihilation

With a mix of science fiction and suspense, Alex Garland’s film, starring Natalie Portman and Tessa Thomspon, closes with one of the most bitter endings of the genre. It is when Lena meets her husband and, with a hug, the shot ends with the question of which version of the protagonists survived.

parasites

Oscar winner for Best Picture by Director Bong Joon Ho is one of the suspense movie with one of the best endings on Netflix. The story ends with Ki-woo trying to buy the house of his former bosses, in which his father is hiding from justice.

I remember

Finally, if anyone else deserves a spot on the list, it’s Christopher Nolan and what many believe is his best film, ‘Memento’. If you haven’t seen it, run on Netflix, because the ending is one that will leave you thinking more. In it, the main character questions the reality of his memories, or whether he just had amnesia.
