North American national firm Mill Creek Entertainment is a co-producer celebrating its first assistant teacher on a screenplay and will open in the United States in early August. It was produced in partnership with Koenig Pictures, Charach Productions.
The original story is a twist on a “manhunter” as a father and son fall to the ground after their steamboat explodes. The men seek refuge on a mysterious island, which their vile landlord, Baron von Wolf, says is his reservation, where people hunt. Berenger plays a man who is hiding on an island but whose common sense is on the verge of collapse.
writer-director justin Leeward (ultimate murder) on the back deck of Koenig Pictures, behind a movie set in the Pacific Northwest. Other cast members include Elisa Dowling, Kevin Porter, Eddie Finley and Randy Charach.
Koenig Pictures produced the film with Ed Morone and Michelle Ng’s Quiet On Set, Charach Productions and Greenfield Media. Bill Sondheim and Randy Charach are executive producers.
The famous short story of the same name was published in 1924 and was written by Richard Connell, while the original film starred Joel McCrea and Leslie Banks in 1932.
