Not long ago we learned that HBO was developing a game of Thrones sequel series focusing on Jon Snow. The excitement level was pretty low when the series was announced, and I wondered why, of all the more interesting characters the show could have focused on, they decided to go with Jon Snow.
Well, now we know why. Giorgio RR Martin recently talked about the show and said that Kit Harrington and her team were the ones who put it all together. It was all Kit Haringtonthe idea. Martin shared on the site about him that the potential series is called Snowand explained:
“Yes, it was Kit Harington who brought us the idea. I can’t tell you the names of the writers / showrunners, as the release has not yet been cleared. But Kit brought them too, his own team, and they’re great … I’m involved, just like I am with The Hedge Knight and The Sea Snake and Ten Thousand Ships, and all the animated shows. Kit’s team visited me here in Santa Fe and worked with me and my team of brilliant and talented writers / consultants to fine-tune the show. “
Martin went on to remind fans that none of these potential series projects are guaranteed to move forward. From now on, House of the Dragon it is the only one that was ordered in series. Martin said: “All four of these later programs are still in the script stage. The likelihood of all four series going on… well, I’d love to, but that’s not how it usually works. “
In a separate interview with the BBC, Harington’s ex game of Thrones co-star, Emilia Clarke, he also confirmed the news, saying: “He told me about it and I know it exists. Is happening. It was made by Kit as far as I can understand, so it’s in it from scratch. So what you will look at, hopefully, if it happens, is certified by Kit Harrington.
When asked if she would return to the series, Clarke said, “No, I think I’m done.” So, don’t expect her to appear in the series if it goes on.
