Trigun is a beloved anime from the late 90’s and recently announced by Toho Trigun’s Escape, which is a new anime series linked to the original. Unfortunately, we don’t know how it is connected other than the fact that the press release states that “Trigun it will be reborn as a new anime series… ”So, play it however you want. If you are excited about that, Crunchyroll has announced that it has acquired the rights to simultaneously broadcast the series when it launches in 2023. If you want to know more Trigun’s escape, we recommend tune in to Anime Expo 2022 on July 2 at 8pm PT when more will be announced during a panel hosted by Crunchyroll. Speakers include Trigun manga author Yasuhiro Nightowdesigner Jouji Tajimaproducer Kiyotaka Wakiproducer Yoshihiro Watanabeand manufacturer Katsuhiro Takei. What little we know Trigun’s escape is that it will be produced by Orange and will feature an entirely new staff and cast.
