
Blumhouse and Peacock have released the first teaser trailer of the conversion therapy camp slasher film them / them. The film is the protagonist Kevin Bacon (Loose, mystical river) as director of Whistler Camp, a religious retreat for LGBTQ + youth designed to “straighten them out.” The film was written and directed by John Loganwho wrote the movies The aviator, Fall of the skyAnd Spectrumand created the series Terrible penny.
Bacon joins the cast from Teo Germainewho plays the camper Jordan; Carrie Preston plays Whistler’s wife and Cora camp therapist; Anna Chlumsky plays the new camp doctor, Molly; Those Tanns. Austin Crute, Monique Kim, Anna Lore, Cooper Koch And Darwin del Fabro they complete the cast as fellow campers and allies of Jordan.
The film “stars Bacon as Owen Whistler, the director of a conversion therapy camp dedicated to ‘healing’ LGBTQ + teens of their sexual and gender identities. Over the course of a week-long session at the camp, Whistler clashes with Jordan (played by Germaine), a trans, non-binary teenager who has made a deal with her parents to legally emancipate themselves after attending the camp. As Jordan and their fellow campers rebel against Whistler’s and his staff’s cruel methods of “treatment”, a mysterious string of murders begins to accumulate, forcing Jordan to investigate the camp’s secrets. “
