They were fantastic films and Raimi was even in negotiations with Sony to make a fourth film, but the study decided to take a beat and restart the franchise.
Raimi officially became a member of the MCU when he directed the sequel to 2022, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It was dark and fun and had its distinctive style everywhere. Marvel was satisfied with the result of the film, and they vowel the desire to bring it back for something, that the fans have presumed to have been another film by Doctor Strange, but if a new voice proves true, it could be asked to be on board another project for Marvel Studios.
According to the Scooper @mytimetoshineh (via CBM) sector, “Sam Raimi had speeches with Marvel to make another project for them, not just Doctor Strange 3.”
