New intense trailer for a dynamite house makes fun of nuclear tensions in Kathryn Bigelow’s thriller

The trailer opens with the President of the United States of Elba who delivers a chilling line that gives the tone for the whole story: “I have always thought that being ready is the point. He keeps people under control. He keeps the world straight.”

From there, the video increases the tension, showing government officials and military leaders who climb after a surprise missile strike launches the country in turmoil. The possibility of nuclear effects is suspended from any decision while paranoia and distrust have spread in the halls of power.

Bigelow, the Oscar winning director known for his style without river in films such as The wounded locker AND Zero Dark ThirtyIt is clearly leaning on that same intensity here. Speaking with Empire, he revealed the deepest themes that hopes that the public would take away from a home of dynamite:

“My dream scenario would be a reduction in nuclear supply. It would be a healthy response to what we created. I don’t understand how annihilation is a defense measure, and this is my greatest puzzle.” Oh, well, I’m very well defended, but we are all dead. “No, it doesn’t work!”

Next to Elba and Ferguson, the film presents Anthony Ramos, Gabriel Basso, Jared Harris, Tracy Letts, Jonah Hauer-KingAND Greta Lee.

A dynamite house will arrive for the first time in the United Kingdom cinemas on October 3, followed by a global theatrical release on 10 October. For those who await streaming, it will debut on Netflix starting from October 24th.

This trailer clarifies one thing: a dynamite house is not just a thriller, it is a fist of a warning on the fragile line between peace and annihilation.
