Martin Scorsese to direct the supernatural horror film what happens at night with Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence

Martin Scorsese AND Leonardo DiCaprio They are collaborating once again, and this time they are immersing themselves in the supernatural horror. Scorsese is destined to direct an adaptation of Weer nine by Peter CameronThe thing happens at nightwith Jennifer Lawrence Combining Dicaprio as a co-lead.

This marks the seventh collaboration between Scorsese and DiCaprio, following their acclaimed epic of 2023 Killer of the Flower Moon. The film also brings together DiCaprio and Lawrence, who appeared together in Netflix record satire Don’t look up.

According to Deadline, filming should start in January. Apple Original Films is currently in negotiations to finance and produce together with Studiocanal, which obtained the rights to the book of Cameron in 2023. The details of the plot and the rest of the cast are still kept under casing.

The material of origin lays the foundations for something obsessive and atmospheric. The description of the book reads:

“An American couple without name goes to a strange and snowy European city to adopt a child. It is a difficult journey that leaves his wife, who is fighting with cancer, desperately weak, and his husband is concerned that his illness will prevent the orphanage from releasing his son.

“Upon arrival, the couple controls the cavernous and strangely deserted Borgarfjaroaslasla Grand Imperial Hotel where the bar is always open and the hall populated with an enigmatic cast of characters that goes from an ancient and bright Chanteuse to a businessman debut with an enigmatic healing of the faith.

“Nothing is as it seems in this disconcerting and frozen world, and the more the couple struggle to claim their child, the less they seem to know about their marriage, themselves and life.”

It looks like an interesting story and, with the level of talent involved, I am sure that it will end up making an exceptional film.
