Oscar winner Jessica Chastain (George & Tammy, The wise) and Emmy winner Ben Stiller (Meet parents, Severance) have signed to act in the next Apple TV series+ Otto Episode Limited The weeks outside. Michael Showalter (The idea of you, The dropout) will direct and produce the executive products alongside Nutting of Alissa (Made for love), which will also act as a showrunner.
The project follows Professor Gus Adler’s writing, whose divorce has thrown his life into chaos. Fight to keep things together during “weekends” when he has the custody of his children.
But in his “weeks outside”, he falls in love with Stella West in love, a mysterious woman whose arrival puts the tasks of Gus’s week and the ambitions out of the week on a fatal collision route.
Stiller and Chastain have previously collaborated in the animated film Madagascar 3: Europe is more sought afterBy lending their voices to Alex, a lion and already, respectively a jaguar. Stiller and Showalter worked together on Apple TV+ Mini-Series The narrowing of the door next door.
