Focus features has released a new excellent trailer for Anemonewho presents the return of Daniel Day-Lewis. It’s nice to see him recite again and I am very enthusiastic about his new film!
This is a personal project for Day-Lewis, who not only reads it, but also co-scripted with his son Ronan Day-Lewiswho directed the film.
The film dives into the turbulent emotional territory of family trauma and unsolved pain, focused on the complex relationships between brothers, fathers and children.
While the plot remains vague, but Day-Lewis plays Ray Stoker, who seems to have isolated in depth in a wooded landscape persecuted by memories. The story takes place mainly through raw and intense conversations between Ray and a mysterious man played by Fagiolo Sean.
The cast also includes Samuel Bottomley, Safia Oakley-GenenAND Samantha Morton. Anemone It opens in a limited release on October 3 before expanding on 10 October.
