When Stephen King He is not frightening with his novels or seeing his stories adapted to successful films, it is just like the rest of us and watching movies he loves. Recently, King led to X to share his favorite films of all time, but made a rule: do not choose his adaptations.
King wrote:
“My 10 favorite films (excluding misery, Shawshank, Green Mile, Stand by me). In no particular order:
Sorcerer
Godfather 2
The holiday
Marmot day
Casablanca
Treasure of the Sierra Madre
Jaw
Racing roads
Close encounters of the 3rd type
Double allowance “
This is strong training. From timeless classics like Casablanca AND The Treasury of the Sierra Madre to the rough grit of Racing roads and the fed paranoia SorcererKing’s list shows a wide range of tastes.
Obviously, Jaw AND Godfather part II They are practically untouchable masterpieces. The most surprising choice could be Marmot dayWhich is also the most recent film on his list, having been published in 1993.
King always has his love for movies and TV vocal. Not long ago, he praised the longtime collaborator Mike Flanagancalling it the “Quentin Tarantino of horror. “
And while King’s personal favorites are making news, one of his stories is about to arrive on the big screen. The long walkbased on his 1979 novel, he opens on September 12th and the characteristics Cooper Hoffman, David Jonsson, Ben WangAND Mark Hamill. Directed by Francis LawrenceThe film is already generating enormous praise.
So, while King has his list of great cinemas, he continues to inspire the filmmakers to create new ones from his work.
