“The screenplay is the best screenplay I’ve ever read,” Holland said to Agence France-Presse (via France 24).
Holland assumes the role of Telemaco, son of Odysseus, in the epic reinterpretation of Homer’s legendary poem. The film follows Odysseus, king of Ithaca, on his dangerous journey home after the Trojan war, and Nolan brought together a cast of central to give him life.
Protagonists alongside Holland are Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernhal, Benny Safdie, John LeguizamoAND Elliot pageamong others.
Speaking of his experience on the set, Holland described Nolan both a visionary and accessible collaborator.
“He knows what he wants … but it’s not an environment where you cannot launch ideas or build characters in certain ways,” Holland explained. “He is a real collaborator.”
This is not the first time that Holland has thrilled in working with Nolan. Previously he had shared those filming The odyssey It was “the work of a life”. He added:
“The best experience I had on the film set. Incredible. It was exciting. It was different. And I think the film will be different from anything we have ever seen. Working with Chris, knowing it and Emma [Thomas] It was absolutely fantastic.
“I have never seen someone able to work in the way they do, and there is a reason why they are certainly the best in the sector. To get a front row place and be part of the process and collaborate with a true master of his profession and learning from him was the best experience I ever had.”
With such strong praise from Holland and a talented stacked cast, Nolan’s The odyssey It promises to be one of the most anticipated films of 2026. The film is previewed on July 17, 2026 and if the words of Holland are indicative, the public is ready for something fantastic.
