A young predator rises: Predator: Badlands gets a prequel comic before the release of the film

Predator fans are becoming more than a simple movie this November. Not only is it Predator: Badlands He makes his way in the cinemas on November 7, but Marvel Comics is also letting a new mint comic fall in depth in the origin of the young protagonist Yautja of the film.

Predator: Badlands #1 It is a unique comic written by Ethan Sacks (Star Wars) with art of Elvin Chingwhich recently came through the Marvel Art Atelier program.

“Working the hand in hand with the filmmakers behind Predator: Badlands, we made sure that this prequel story adapts to the film saga as a piece of puzzles. It will give fans a deeper and richer experience, especially when they get to ban their eyes on Elvin Ching’s art.”

The story in the comic centers around Dek as a young Yautja sent by his father on what looks like a simple recovery mission in an abandoned spaceship for a long time. But of course, nothing is never simple in the Predator universe. Inside that ship there is an ancient fatal threat that will challenge the warrior in brutal and unexpected ways.

Trachtenberg, who previously obtained critical consents for PreyHe is excited to see the comics play such a vital role in the franchise.

“Badlands is Predator’s first film to draw inspiration so heavily by comics. So it is with great joy that you and I can look at the splash pages, from the minds of Ethan and Elvin, of a training adventure for our characters that acts as a perfect companion for the film,” he said. “Dek who kicks his ass in his comic is a dream become reality.”

This comic marks another big step in the expansion of the Marvel of Predator Universe after Disney has acquired 20th Century Fox, giving them access to properties that affect heavy such as Alien, Planet of the monkeysAND Predator.
