Special: The New Yorker Gets Joshua Seftel’s Short Documentary at a foreign door Ahead of its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival.

The film tells the incredible story of the liberation of Richard McCain, a former US Marine who fought in Afghanistan after 9/11 and was called upon by his superiors to view Muslims as less than human enemies. After being militarily released and suffering from PTSD, McKinney planned to launch an explosion in his hometown of Munsi, Indiana.

McKinney covered downtown to prepare for his planned attack, which he hoped would kill or injure at least 200 people.

“I wanted to hurt them,” McKinney admits in the movie. “My plan was to blow up the IED just outside the Muncie Islamic Center when everyone was assembled on Friday afternoon.”

But when he enters the building on some kind of reconnaissance mission, he is surrounded by Afghan refugee Dr. He was surrounded by the congregation, including Saber Bahran and his wife, Bibi Bahran, as well as the black convert to Islam Jomo Williams. “After facing anti-Semitism as a child, Seftel has remained deeply committed to the project’s mission for much of the past decade,” the publication said of acquiring a new short film. “When I realized the level of Islamophobia in the United States, I thought, as a filmmaker, I could do something to more accurately portray Muslim Americans,” Seftel said.

Seftel won the Muslim Public Relations Council’s Hollywood Office Media Award shared by Bob Geldof and director Lena Khan. His credits include address Queer Eye for the right guy! short document Many sad fates of Mr. Toledano (2015) and War Inc.2008 political satire starring John Cusack, Joan Cusack, Ben Kingsley, Dan Aikroid, and Marisa Tomei.

Tribeca World Premiere stranger at the door Angelica will be at Village East on Saturday night, followed by a question-and-answer session. Cinépolis will re-screen at Chelsea on Friday, 17 June, followed by a Q&A session. The film will be available to watch on the festival’s Tribeca at Home online platform on Monday, June 13.
