Trailer for the descending science fiction thriller makes fun of an amazing alien mystery

Rlje Films released the trailer for DescendingA science fiction thriller indie with brain appearance that marks the debut with Peter Chilella’s direction.

The story focuses on a security guard of the infested school of Los Angeles named Sean Bruner (played by Deaths walking‘S Ross Marquand), which begins to experiment with disturbing visions after a strange ray of light appears in the night sky.

While preparing for the birth of his first child with his wife Andrea (Sarah Bolger), Sean’s mind begins to fracture and reality begins to slide between the fingers.

The synopsis recites: “Set in Los Angeles, Solte follows Sean Bruner (Ross Marquand), a school security guard persecuted by childhood trauma while preparing for the birth of his first son with his wife, Andrea.

“After a ray of light appears in the sky during a duty in late night, Sean wakes up in the hospital with an inexplicable talent for vivid and disturbing drawings of extraterrestrials and desert landscapes.

“While his disturbing visions obscure the border between dreams and reality, Sean’s socket on mental health is revealed. With the time that ends, he has to face his fears to escape the tragic legacy of his family.”

There is a clear Invasion of the Snatcher body Atmosphere that runs through the trailer, from distorted faces to creeping paranoia.

The film made its premiere at the beginning of this year at the SXSW 2025 and is heading towards cinemas on August 8, 2025, followed by a Vod version on August 15th.
