New trailer for this: Welcome to Derry makes fun of the story of Pennywise’s terror

HBO Max has just dropped a new chilling trailer for IT: Welcome to DerryAnd the fans of the horror gave their first glance to the next series during a panel late at night at the San Diego Comic-Con. The show promises to take us deeper Stephen KingThe terrifying world, exploring the dark history behind Pennywise and the cursed city of Derry.

The teaser gives a disturbing tone when it opens with a sense of discomfort that spreads for the quiet paths of Derry while the children begin to disappear. At the center of this nightmare there is a young woman, played by Taylor Paigewho moves to the city with her husband just like things start spiral.

While Bill Skarsgård’s Pennywise only makes a short appearance in the end, his left presence looms throughout the trailer.

Set in the universe of King’s iconic novel, Welcome to Derry expands on the vision introduced by Andy Muschietti In movies.

Muschietti, which produces the series together executive Barbara Muschietti AND Jason FuchsHe says that the show dives deep into the roots of the derry nightmares: “There is a reason why the story is told on the contrary”.

The first season is set in 1962, a few years before the events of IT: Chapter one. Future Seasons will travel further in the past, with season 2 exploring 1935 and season 3 dating back to 1908. The series draws inspiration from the interludes in King’s original novel, which describes in detail the search for Mike Hanlon on the horrible Derry past. Muschietti explains:

“Interlude are basically chapters who reflect Mike Hanlon’s research … fragments of his research. For 27 years, he is the boy who tries to understand what it is, what he did, who has done, who has seen it and all that stuff.”

Each season will explore one of the 27 -year -old terror cycles of Pennywise and the catastrophic events that came with them. Muschietti makes fun of:

“They speak of the catastrophic events of the past, such as The Fire in the Black Spot … The massacre of the Bradley gang, a band of banks thieves in the 1930s … and the explosion of the Kitchener Ironworks.”

These tragedies will serve as a spine of the show narrative, promising a bloody and terrifying history lesson for fans of the franchise. Muschietti confirms:

“We are based the three seasons of this series on each of these catastrophic events.”

With the excitement that will come out of the Comic-Con and Warner Bros. According to what reported is enthusiastic about the first season, we are already talking about the season 2 of fast tracking.

IT: Welcome to Derry One of the most exciting horror series of the year is promised, offering fans the opportunity to see the origins of Pennywise as never before. Prepare to return to the city where fear was born when the series is previewed on HBO by the end of the year.

Here are some details on each of the stories of the trees:

The black point:

The Black Spot is one of the most memorable stories and is told by Mike Hanlon’s father, Will Hanlon, a story that has kept hidden until his last few days. In ItThe second interlude, Mike visits his father in the hospital and listens to his father tells a heartbreaking chapter of his youth.

Years earlier, Will Hanlon and his Air Force military companions had created a night club called The black point, A paradise for black customers in a moment of secretation and rooted racism.

One night, the Legion of the Maine of White Decense, a violent supremist group, burned the club on the ground, killing many innocent people. And while the Legion gave the fire, something much more sinister was hiding in the flames …It himself, taking the form of a monstrous bird, snatching his victims in the fiery chaos.

One of the people inside was a young Dick Halloran of Splendorwho worked in the club’s kitchen.

The Bradley Gang:

The Bradley gang was a group of outlaw the era of depression that arrived in Derry in 1929 to hide from the FBI. They are killed by the members of the Derry community in Canal Street in the middle of the afternoon, while they arrive at the Machen sporting goods store to collect an ammunition expedition.

Mike Hanlon recalls seven members of the Bradley band, although Norbert Keene, who was alive during the ambush, recalls eight members. The gang consists of its leader, Bradley, and his brother George.

They derive six or seven banks in the Midwest and kidnap a banker for a redemption of thirty thousand dollars before deciding to kill the banker anyway.

The other members of the band are the brothers Joe and Cal Conklin, Arthur “Creeping Jesus” Malloy, the handsome Patrick Caudy, the common wife of George, Kitty Donahue and the girlfriend of Caudy, Marie Hauser.

Kitchener Ironworks’ explosion:

The Kitchener Ironworks was an iron iron outside Derry. In 1906, although every car in the processing had been completely closed, the Ironworks exploded inexplicably, killing a group of 88 children and 102 total people who were participating in an Easter egg hunt.

The tragedy was caused by it by sabotaged the equipment, presumably responsible for eight missing bodies. This marked the beginning of the 27 -year -old lethargy period of the creature.
