Invincible season 4 adds Matthew Rhys as dinosaurus and that’s why it’s huge

Invincible Fans received some exciting news from the San Diego Comic-Con as it was confirmed that Matthew Rhys (Americans) He has officially joined the cast for season 4. Now we also know that he will express the character of Dinosaurus, a character preferred by fans of the comics who is about to shake things in an important way.

The announcement came during Robert KirkmanSDCC panel, and if you have not been there, the official Invincible The X/Twitter account covered you, sharing a look at the character in all its glory of red dinosaur.

At first glance, you might think that Dinosaurus is just another monster of the week for Mark Grayson to break through, but if you know the comics, you know this boy is a turning point.

Dinosaurus is not your medium brute without brain. Debuting in number 68, this highly intelligent dinosaur-hybrid is actually the divided personality of the scientist David Anders. Think Spider-Man’s Lizard, but with a moral compass that is much more complicated.

Dinosaurus really wants to save the world, focusing on environmental conservation and that the shared sense of purpose brings it together and marked as improbable allies.

But this is InvincibleSo you know that things will not remain simple for a long time. After a fall with Cecil, Dinosaurus begins to walk a thin line between hero and bad, forcing the sign to face some serious ethical dilemmas.

Without ruining too much, let’s just say that his bow is one of the most compelling in the series, an ally that becomes antagonist in a way that strikes hard and feels earned.

Rhys to take this role is a fantastic choice. The boy has the series of series acting and his vocal work could give Dinosaurus the depth and the fans of nuance would like for the character. While the looming war of Viltrumite approaches, Dinosaurus will be a key piece of Mark’s journey, pushing him to define the type of hero who really wants to be.

Invincible Season 4 is currently in production and with a fifth season already Greenlit, the future of the series in the first video seems incredible. Light, because if the show remains faithful to comics, Dinosaurus will still deliver some of the wildest and most stimulating moments.
