THE Rick and Morty The multiverse has become much larger. During the San Diego Comic-Con della show panel, Adult Swim dropped a surprise announcement that are developing a brand new animated comedy called Curtis president.
The series will report the commander to the head, voiced by the legendary Keith Davidin his first solo output.
David even made a surprise apparition to celebrate the great revelation, sending fans in an absolute frenzy.
The new series comes from Rick and Morty executive manufacturers Dan Harmon AND Sicilian JamesThe same creative minds that have guided the original show in absurd beauty for years. This time, they are focusing on President Andre Curtis, a character who has been a stage heritage from his debut.
Join David in the cast of the voice are Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) AND Jim Rash (Community). Rash and David reunion keeps him firmly within the “Harmon’s creative universe”, considering that both have worked with him Community.
David has expressed President Curtis in several seasons of Rick and Morty, but now the character is making his platform shine. In a statement, David shared how pumped for this:
“President Curtis has always been a real fun to play. Exploring his world more deeply in this new series is a dream. I can’t wait for fans to see what kind of chaos you shake when Rick is not around to steal the spotlight.”
Given how much the chaos Rick Sanchez usually leaves in his wake, it will be wild watching curtis face the crises that even Rick would not touch.
According to the official logline, President Curtis will follow the commander in the head and his team while they manage problems well beyond the oval office:
“The” president Curtis “follows the commander in chief and his eccentric staff while dealing with the type of crisis with which Rick Sanchez could never be disturbed-dially interdimensional diplomacy for paranormal investigations and inexplicable phenomena”.
It looks like a mix of political satire, science fiction madness and the type of strangeness and comedy Rick and Morty Fans have fun.
