Great new trailer for The Long Walk by Stephen King and first 20 minutes previewed at the Comic-Con

Lionsgate brought some intense energy to Hall H to the San Diego Comic-Con with a brand new trailer for The long walkgiving fans their first look to the long -awaited Stephen King Adaptation and you can watch Tyhat Trailer for yourself!

We also obtained an exclusive projection of the first 20 minutes and it is brutal and compelling as you would expect. I have been incredibly excited for this film and it seems that it will offer a very intense and emotional experience.

The legendary Stephen King introduced the clip via video message, reminding the fans the dark roots of the story while making a point to notice how much time was in advance this concept: “He has a hard cortex”.

Based on the dystopian novel of the King of 1979, The long walk It takes place in a fractured America where entertainment is a deadly sport. The event is simple but chilling: 50 teenagers walk tirelessly. Go down under three miles per hour and died. There is no rest, nothing stopped, just walking. The last survivor wins an award of their choice.

The film is the protagonist Cooper Hoffman (Licorice pizza) AND David Jonsson (Alien: Romulus), with Mark Hamill (Star Wars) Entering the role of an unlawable military figure. The cast also includes All nyuot, Garrett Wareing (Ransom Canyon) ,, Charlie Plummer (In search of Alaska) ,, Ben Wang (Karate Kid: Legends) ,, Roman Griffin Davis, Jordan Gonzalez, Joshua Odjick, Josh HamiltonAND Judy Greer.

In the trailer, Charlie Plummer’s character offers a disturbing line: “The only guarantee you have as a human being is that you will die. And if you are lucky, you can choose how you will spend those last moments.”

What follows is an infallible look at the brutality of the competition. Dead animals flank the roadside. A boy collapses as he gets a cramp and cannot continue walking, falling to the ground, the soldiers approach with the rifles designed before a gunshot echoes.

Pete di Jonsson admits: “I continue to hope that that part will become easier”, to which Raymond of Hoffman replies: “This is what I am afraid of.”

Then comes the major of Hamill, setting the young competitors: “I look at each of you, and I see hope”.

During the panel, Hamill opened to channel the imposing antagonist of the film, setting inspiration from his childhood on a naval base in Japan.

“I knew exactly who [my character] It is because I saw him firsthand, “Hamill said, remembering the officers who forced the soldiers to push the exhaustion until they threw up, and then made them eat.

“The premise of the film itself is so discouraging. I don’t know if I was able to see this film. Much less to be inside, but what happened is that I read the script of JT and the novel and I saw the true heart and soul of the film-What is the experience of walkers in these extraordinary circumstances. And I was swept away.”

The movie makes fun of a growing link and a rivalry between Raymond and Pete as they share this intense experience. “This is my opportunity to change things,” says Raymond at some point, before Hoffman provides the line: “Every moment counts. Especially at the end.”

Francis Lawrence (The Hunger Games films) directed the adaptation from a script of JT MollnerThose who promised to keep King’s raw and terrifying tone intact. Lawrence also entered through video message with Ben Wang, currently shooting Hunger Games: Sunrise on the collection.

The long walk It affects the halls on September 12, 2025, making it the second adaptation of Stephen King of the following year Chuck’s lifewhich also presents Hamill alongside Tom Hiddleston.
