THE Pirates of the Caribbean It is not dead enough, at this moment it is only drifting between the ports, and it seems that Disney could finally prepare to sail, even if the direction will take the ship is still a lot in the air.
During a recent appearance on this morning (through the SFX magazine), Orlando BloomThose who played Will Turner offered a cryptic mockery when he was asked if he could return.
“There were all kinds of things. Who knows? There were speeches. I can’t say anything at the moment, because I really don’t know. I think they are trying to understand what everything would be.
“Personally, I think it would be nice to bring together the band. It would be great. But there are always different ideas, so we’ll see where it lands.”
Disney and longtime manufacturer Jerry Bruckheimer Apparently they are looking at two official projects. One is a complete franchise restart written by Jeff Nathanson (Dead men tell no storytelling, kingdom of the crystal skull), with a completely new cast and story.
The other is a Margot Robbie-LED spin-off with a script of Christina Hodson (Bumblebee, the flash), a project that was spoken of for a while but did not officially go on.
It is interesting to note that there is a third option that now floats in the waters, a new episode that brings together part of the original cast, including Bloom and perhaps also Johnny Depp AND Keira Knightley. In fact, Bruckheimer himself has recently confirmed to Screenrant that a script is in progress that exactly this could do.
“We are working on a script. We hope to do it well – and then we will do it. We really want to do it, this is certain.”
When it is pressed if this would be a complete restart with completely new faces, Bruckheimer clarified:
“Well, not all the new actors. We will have a little bit. I will not tell you which – you will have to guess.”
With five films already released e Dead men do not tell stories (2017) Creation of a new generation of pirates through Brenton Thwaites’Henry Turner, it is possible that the next voice can merge new blood and inheritance characters could be the most intelligent way. Especially if Disney wants to rekindle the enthusiasm of the fans without completely abandoning the brazen soul of the series.
So what kind of trip should Disney take? A restart? A deviation led by Margot Robbie? Or a last great adventure with the original crew?
In any case, the wind is resuming and this ship could be ready to navigate first of what we think.
