Wizards of the Coast has just launched the dice on something great.
They recently announced an exclusive publishing agreement with a brand new study called Giant Skull and together they are working on an action-adventure game with a single player set in the Dungeons & Dragons universe. No party is necessary, this is for solo adventurers.
The giant skull could be new, but is guided by Stig asmussenwho directed God of War III and both Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order AND Survivor. After leaving Respawn Entertainment in 2023, Asmussen launched Giant Skull in 2024 and this next D&D game will be their first title outside the gate.
The game was developed from scratch in Unreal Engine 5, but so far there are no trailer, concept art or game theses have been revealed. Only the promise of a journey taken from the narrative and focused on the action through a kingdom that is mature with dragons, underground and (presumably) dice -based drama.
Wizards of the Coast is clearly expanding his game imprint. After Baldur’s Gate 3 It has become a success of RPG, the company has lined up a variety of video games projects, a little imagination, some science fiction, some resting on authorized properties.

As for Giant Skull’s D&D game? No release date again, but promises to bring fans to a new adventure, created for those who prefer to challenge the world of monsters and myth alone.
