Netflix has just left the complete trailer for Happy Gilmore 2 During his event Tudum 2025. After almost three decades, Adam Sandler’He has returned to the broad shirt Bruins, oscillating for the fences, and if the new trailer is something to do, this sequel will be very fun!
The story resumed years after Happy’s climatic performance with the McGavin shooter, and life has been good. He is still with Virginia (Julie Bowen), he gained five gold jackets and is mentioned in the same breath as “Arnold, Jacko and Tiger”.
But the fire never really left it. When the game changes and the younger talent begins to dominate the ranking, Happy finds himself recalled to the green with a new caddy, played none other than Bad Bunny, and the same old Nemesis itself: the McGavin shooter, once again played by Christopher McDonald.
The latter trailer shows us why Happy’s return. It is not just about pride or inheritance, it is a question of showing himself that he still has it. There is a little heart here and many laughs. And yes, the swing slapshot is still intact.
The film is directed by Game Over, friend! and alume of Workaholics Kyle Newacherckwho is entering the director’s chair after Dennis DuganAbsence. And it is clear that this project means a lot for him. In a preview interview with Collider, Newacheck shared.
“It was constantly reminded of me what impact the first Happy Gilmore had on so many generations. My desire to be a director can be traced directly to watch Happy Gilmore as a child. So it is not surprising that people said yes, but it was incredible how strong they said they said. We said the best golfers of the world put aside their rivals to join this and have fun with this.
Sandler himself clarified that this was not a quick money. This sequel has been preparing for years and shows:
“Okay. We worked hard on the script. We didn’t want to disappoint anyone. People have been asking me for a long time. We are really thrilled. We wrote our asses. So many of the golfers are kind and will be part of it.”
Next to the return faces, the film also pays homage to the deceased Carl Weatherswho interpreted the iconic Chubbs Peterson.
