Alex Garlandthe next adaptation of Ring Elden It is in negotiations with the nascent actor Connor kit (Heartstopper, Warfare) to guide the Dark Fantasy epic for A24 and Bandai Namco.
Although nothing has been still signed, more sources say that both Garland and Connor are a lot on board and they want to make this collaboration happen.
The interviews are still early and remain obstacles, but the combination makes much sense. Garland has just worked with Connor Wara gritty war drama that also presented Charles Melton, Joseph QuinnAND Will Poulter.
That film has only strengthened the Garland relationship with A24, a partnership that now covers four of its five films. So it is not surprising that the study is supporting him again for what he promises to be one of his most ambitious productions ever.
THE Ring Elden The adaptation was already an event, but the block of the Connor kit would have scored a huge addition. Connor’s ascent was quick to his breakout Heartstopper To land high profile projects such as Netflix’s next film in Cuban Girl’s Guide to Tea and Tomorrow. If the agreement ends, this would be another huge step in its trajectory.
As for the Ring Elden Films itself, Garland is writing and directing, with game of Thrones mind George RR Martin producing alongside Wins Gerardis. Martin, of course, contributed to modeling the tradition of the original game with Fr. Hidetaka Miyazaki.
No details on the story were shared, but it would make sense for the film to tell the story of Vyke the Dragonspear. It is a really strong story, and if you are not familiar, you can read it here.
With Elden Ring who is such an enormous and epic video game that has had enormous success, it makes sense that the property is achieving the treatment of the film. The imminent expansion of the game, Elden Ring: Nighttreign, falls all over the world on May 30th.
If Garland and Connor block him, he will mark not only a meeting, but a great creative partnership that could give life to the lands in a way that honors both the mythical staircase of the game and its gloomy and otherworldly tone.
Given the Garland track record (Ex machina, Annihilation, Men), and the will of A24 to become great, fans could be in something truly special, an epic cinematographic saga.
