Ralph Fiennes Cast as President Snow in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Realing

Ralph Fiennes He is entering the role of President Coriolanus Snow in the release film The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the collectionThe last episode of the successful Lionsgate franchise based on the bestseller novels by Suzanne Collins.

Following his service appointed to Oscar in ConclaveFiennes joins the dystopian saga as a younger and hungry snow of power, has set decades before Katniss Everdeen has ever designed the arch.

The role was famous by Donald Sutherland In original films and this casting arrives less than a year after Sutherland’s death in June 2024. Reflecting on the weight of this legacy, producer Nina Jacobson he said:

The film, set 24 years before Katniss Everdeen had volunteered as a tribute, takes us back to the notorious 50th Hunger Games, the second quarter of that quarter.

This particular chapter introduces us to the sixteen year old Haymitch, described as “an intelligent and enterprising boy of District 12 who is unexpectedly chosen for this edition of the games, which will present a deadly turning point: twice the number of taxes, with 48 children sent to the Arena to fight for their lives”.

The cast of ensemble includes Whitney Peak As Capitol Lenore Escort where Baird, McKenna Grace stars like MaySilee Donner, e Jesse Plemons He joins as a Plutarch Heavensbee. Kelvin Harrison Jr., Maya Hawke, Lili TaylorAND Ben Wang Complete the free roster and mentor like Beetee, Wiress, Mags and Wyatt Callow, respectively.

With Fiennes now destined to redefine one of the most notorious bad people of dystopian narrative, fans can expect a new chilling chapter in the world of Panem, where power, as always, requires blood.

The film is scheduled for November 20, 2026.
