James Gunn’S Superman It promises to be a fresh but classic version of the man of steel, and one of the ways in which he is doing is to put a true reflector on the friendships that the humanity of Clark Kent.
One of those key relationships is between Clark and Jimmy Olsen and Skyler GisondoThose who play Jimmy, recently shared some fun information about what we can expect.
Speaking on the podcast DC Studios Showcase, Gisondo described his dynamic with David CorenswetSuperman as an easy and natural bond.
“David and I had the opportunity to get out a little before starting the shooting and somehow became friendship,” said Gisondo. “And our scenes, the little things we have together, we are really only friends, there is real ease. It is an opportunity to see the human side of Superman.”
Obviously, Gisondo could not help but launch a small humor to work with Corenswet, who clearly hit the gym to fill the suit.
“In addition, David is so Yaked, it’s enormous in this film and I feel like I gave him the opportunity to talk to another guy with a similar body,” Gisondo joked.
“It relaxes because it very rarely meets another guy who lifts up, and gets him, and is taken. So in a certain sense we find his brother.” It is the perfect type of self-aware humor that you would expect from Jimmy Olsen-and a good sign that Gisondo really understands the spirit of the character.
That loose connection makes sense because Gunn has been vocal in wanting to show a superman rooted in kindness, hope and values of the real world. Having Clark simply “Bro Down” with Jimmy helps to reveal the boy behind the head, the boy of the Kansas farm who still enhances friendship and trust and gives the tone to a DC universe built on the character as much as the show.
Gunn’s Superman He will make the audience fall in Clark’s life already in progress. Clark’s junction life at the Daily Planet, a grass relationship with Lois Lane and the pressures to be Superman in a world that is becoming increasingly populated with other heroes.
It is of reconciliation of his Kryptonian birth with his education of the earth, which puts that part and the center of the personal human side.
Corenswet leads the cast as Clark/Superman, with Rachel Brosnahan Taking on the lois lane fiercely intelligent e Nicholas Hault Entering as a ruthless lex Luthor.
The film also brings a handful of other DC heroes, including Nathan Fillion Like Guy Gardner, Isabela Merced Like Hawkgirl, EDI Gathegi as an exceptional lord, e Anthony Carrigan As a metamorpho, creation of a DCU in which Superman is not the only superhero in circulation.
Superman It is the first big step in the new DCU of Gunn, launching “Chapter one: Gods and Monsters” and flies to the cinemas on 11 July.
