Lewis Pullman on the “intimidating” challenge of becoming Sentry in Thunderbolts* and his excitement for the future of the character

The character of Marvel Sentry is finally coming to the MCU and is getting his moment on the big screen in the wonders Thunderbolts*with the actor Lewis Pullman Entering the role of “Bob”, the unstable power whose alter ego will bring the world to its knees.

Speaking with Numéro, Pullman admitted the weight of taking this role and hit him quickly:

“Honestly intimidating enough. Marvel has always occupied a space in my mind like this untouchable crew of cinema. Because they are so good at capturing the size of the universe, it almost seemed to need a literal spaceship to even have access to a wonder set.”

That sense of reverential fear quickly transformed into personal pressure. Pullman continued to explain:

“So I was terrified by how I could insert myself in the rhythm of the world and the tone. I felt a lot of responsibility for not being a weak connection, but also to try to do my job and bring parts of myself and give value to my opinion on the character.”

As for what went to prepare to embody Sentry, Pullman broke his approach, saying:

“It was certainly a significantly physically and mentally demanding experience, which I loved. I tried to go around preparation with an athlete mentality.

“In a film of this staircase I thought that we would make scenes many times, so much of the training preparation and the character I did was not necessarily what would have been on display in the film, but it would have helped me to be more agile and have a better resistance, physically and emotionally, when it made some scenes over and over again and not losing steam.”

Pullman is also confirmed to resume his role as Sentry Avengers: DoomsdayA film that will surely be an all -round adventure with Battleworld and incursions of the universe in the mix.

While the exact details of the plot are blocked, Pullman shared his excitement for what is in advance in a chat with Gamesradar+:

“I am so excited because, you know, I had to prepare myself for the possibility that this can only be a kind of situation. [my] House is actually bigger, and now I can understand what I do with that space. “

And for any detail on the day of judgment? Pullman made fun of a smile: “I have no idea. I’d like to ruin him.”

However, the future takes place, it will be interesting to see how the arch of Sentry history takes place in the MCU.
