Review: until Dawn is a fun and heavy recharging horror ride

Like someone who liked the very much Until dawn video game, I entered the director David F. SandbergCinematographic adaptation with a healthy mix of curiosity and excitement. It was clarified in marketing that this film would not have been a direct reinterpretation. Instead, the film takes the spirit and tone of the game and turns a new story that still seems to appear in the same terrifying world.

While I sat down and watched the film, it was clear that Sandberg included what made the game memorable with tension, atmosphere and a love not sorry for the horror genre.

The configuration does not waste time to become strange and bloody. A group of friends heads towards the remote valley in which a girl’s sister disappeared a year before and what begins as a family slasher configuration quickly becomes something else.

Once the first round of brutal murders occurs, the characters wake up right where they started. But this is not a bit Marmot day trick. Every time they restore, the rules change. The killer changes. The tone changes.

A loop looks like a classic Slasher of the 80s, the next one as a noise creature function. It is a funny twist that takes place as if you were walking through a horror labyrinth for infested attraction.

One thing I approved was the way Sandberg and his team embraced the practical effects. The blood is exaggerated and creatures’ drawings are really disturbing. This film wants the audience to beat their places.

And while there are some jumping fears, it is the creativity of the history and the unpredictability of every cycle that kept me hooked. You never really know what taste of horror is coming and that unpredictability gives the film an advantage.

The story is also proper, maintaining playful things without losing its sense of danger. There is something intriguing in looking at the characters try to play their deaths, especially because they slowly realize their possibilities that they run out.

The characters are not particularly deep, but they are fun to watch and the cast, She rubin, Michael Cimino, Ji-Young Yoo, Odessa a’ction, Peter stormy, Maia MitchellAND Belmont CameliIt really sells it. Everyone leaning against chaos and that energy pays.

In the end, Until dawn It works both as a love letter to horror films and a noble lap. Whether you played or not, the frenetic and frenetic approach of the film makes it a good time. It is disordered, noisy, intelligent and very aware of the type of movie, and I had a lot of fun!
