Netflix has announced the renewal of the fifth season of their romantic dramatic series, Sweet MagnolieBased on the best -selling author’s series of books of the New York Times Sherryl Woods. According to Netflix, which described the series as a “comfort drama”, the show “is continuously placed among the first 10 lists of Netflix in over 60 countries”.
The news of the pickup was linked to “World Book Day”, and has arrived as part of a series of ads that also included Greenlight for two new shows, The era of innocence AND Unwaged landIn addition to Sweet Magnolie renewal.
Sweet Magnolie focus on the permanent friendship between Maddie (Joanna Garcia Swisher), Dana Sue (Brooke Elliott) and Helen (Heather Headley) “While they juggle with relationships, family and careers in the fascinating small town of Serenity, SC”
Back to season 5 are showrunner/manufacturer Exec Sheryl J. Anderson (Bonds that bind), as well as the Exec Dan Paulson producers (Chesapeake Shores) and Matt Drake (Chesapeake Shores). Norman Buckley is Co-Showrunner. Daniel L. Paulson Productions by Paulson Shingle is producing.
The cast includes Swisher, Elliott and Headley, together with Jamie Lynn Spears, Justin Bruening, Carson Rowland, Logan Allen, Anneliese Judge, Brandon Quinn, Dion Johnstone AND Chris Medlin.
Season 4 of “Sweet Magnolias”, which fell on February 5, followed the beasts Maddie, Dana Sue and Helen during the holidays, including Halloween, thanks and Christmas. Maddie and Cal (Justin Bruening) got married during Halloween, while Dana Sue and Robbie (Brandon Quinn) were connected and Helen and Erik (Dion Johnstone) were connected in the middle of a hurricane.
In addition, the tragedy hit Bill’s passage (Chris Klein). Among other dramatic movements, the son of Maddie Ty (Carson Rowland) and Dana Sue, Annie (Anneliese Judge) daughter, have developed a relationship – but they are about to travel their separate ways – while Maddie was offered a job in New York.
