The retro trailer of this week is for the Bonker 1989 movie Meet the empty tips aka Life of the edge. This is a surreal science fiction comedy set in a bizarre dystopian future in which organic machinery and grotesque domestic technology define daily life.
The story follows the Hollowhead family, a unit of the middle class sailing on the absurdity of their synthetic world. Henry Hollowhead, the Patriarch, is fighting for a promotion at the Melma -based service service company where he works.
To guarantee his progress, he invites his head Lecerio, Mr. Crabneck, for dinner. What begins as a formal evening drops rapidly in chaos while Crabneck’s inappropriate behavior interrupts the peculiar family routine and pushes them on the edge.
The film is a satirical version of the 1950s -style sitcoms, reinvented through a postmodern nightmare lens. The film was directed by Tom Burmanknown mainly for his work in fact special.
He created a world full of buttons, appliances and grotesque foods, creating a visually unique and disturbing environment.
