I’m a big fan of The convocation franchise and the film out The Conjuring: Last RiteIt is billed as the final chapter for E and Lorraine Warren … at least as we learned to meet them.
Patrick Wilson AND True femiga According to reports, they are moving away from their iconic roles and the next film will arrive in cinemas on September 5, 2025. But here’s the point: the conjuring universe is not ending.
In a recent chat with The Hollywood Reporter, Chief Creative Officer of New Line Cinema Richard Brener Look on what is happening with the franchise and the latest rites close the first phase of the franchise.
He shared: “So, while this is the last of what we call phase one, we hope we can do more. The phase two is TBD.”
So phase two is officially on the table. Latest rites It could mark the end of the current arch with and An Areraine Warren, but this universe is not yet going to light.
The new line also feels good for the new film, with Brener who says: “He is testing through the roof and we are only to cut the director, the 10 weeks of the film in which you are normally very much, very frightened by the state of your film. We are very early in the process, we have very preliminary visual effects, but it is already through the roof.”
It is a lot of confidence for a film still in post-production advance, but considering that this is the same universe that has transformed demonic dolls and nuns infested into successes at the box office, keeps track.
The film is directed by Michael Chaveswhich is also guided The Conjuring: the devil made me do AND Sister II.
David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrickwho co-scored the third episode with James WanHe wrote the screenplay for the film and Wan is producing with Peter Safran.
Here is the current temporal sequence of convocation:
-
The convocation
-
Annabelle
-
The convocation 2
-
Annabelle: creation
-
The nun
-
Annabelle returns home
-
The Conjuring: the devil made me do
-
The nun 2
-
And now, The Conjuring: Last Rite
They are eight deep films, with Latest rites Available to be the number nine, officially wrapping this first era of wild and horrible supernatural narration.
