Actor Jason Momoa’S (Aquaman, See) imminent historical epic series Head of war He fixed his preview date on Apple TV+. The dramatic series will debut with its first two episodes on 1 August, with new episodes that fell weekly until September 19th.
Based on real events, the nine episodes series “follows the warrior Ka’ana (Momoa) while trying to unify the islands before western colonization at the end of the eighteenth century”, for the official logline. Together with Momoa, the cast includes Luciane Buchanan, Temera Morrison, You ao or hinepehinga, Cliff Curtis, Kaina Makua, Goods of Moses, Siua ikale’o, Brandon Finn, James Udom, Mainei Kinimaka AND Te kohe tuhaka.
Momoa co-creating the show with Thomas Pa’a Sibbettwhich has Hawaiian native origins. Both act as executive producers, with Momoa who directs the season finale. Doug Jung It acts as a showrunner and executive producer.
This will mark the first time that Momoa wrote for television. Previously he wrote, directed and starred in the film Road for Palomawhich was released in 2014.
He and Pa’a Sbbett also co-scored the story for the film The last manhuntWith Momoa appears on the screen in a support role. Momoa starred in the film Braven In 2018, which was co-disclosed by Pa’a Sibbett.
