The Sony panel at the Cinemacon 2025 has not disappointed. There have been many new projects announced and further information has been provided on the previously announced films. One of these projects was the film The Beatles.
There have been many rumors that swindle for the realization of a film on The Beatles. Director Sir Sam Mendes He eliminated everything for us. At this point there are no films but Mendes has been able to give us everything we have to know.
First of all we are not just getting a movie, but we are getting four films from the perspective of each of the band’s members. In addition, all four films will be released in April 2028. This questioned, how will they be released? Will they all fall in one day? Will they be released weekly throughout the month? Unfortunately, nobody is telling us that one, but we are having fun mirroring.
As if this were not enough, the complete cast has been confirmed. Paul McCartney will be played by Paul Mescal. John Lennon will be played by Harris Dickinson. George Harrison will be played by Joseph Quinn and Ringo Starr will be played by Barry Keoghan.
This cast is surprising and I can’t wait to see what Mendes will do with this amount of talent in movies. The Beatles is one of my favorite bands of all time and I am admired by the group that Sony has put together for this film/movie.
Sony Pictures Entertainment, Neal Street Pictures and Apple Corps are producing films, and this is the first time that Apple, who manages the rights of the Beatles, has never allowed a life story and music rights for a written film, not to mention an entire series.
Mendes previously said in a declaration: “I am honored to tell the story of the greatest rock band of all time, and excited to challenge the notion of what constitutes a journey to the cinema”.
Sony Pictures Entertainment said: “The cadence of the appointments of the films, whose details will be shared closer to the release, will be innovative and revolutionary”. I guess the four films will all be shot at the same time, that it will be a huge company.
Pippa Harris Shared in a declaration: “We mean that this is a only exciting and epic cinematographic experience: four films, told by four different perspectives that tell a single story of the most famous band of all time.
“Having the blessing of the Beatles” and Apple Corps to do this is an immense privilege. From our first meeting with Tom Rothman and Elizabeth Gabler, it was clear that they shared both our passion and ambition for this project, and we cannot think of a more perfect house of Sony images. “
CEO of Apple Corps Ltd. Jeff Jones Added: “Apple Corps is happy to collaborate with Sam, Pippa and Julie to explore the unique story of each beat and to bring them together adequately captivating and innovative. The enthusiastic support of Sony Pictures, supporting the scope of the project and the creative vision from the beginning, has been disabled for all of us.”
Tom RothmanPresident and CEO of the Sony Pictures film group said: “I know that I speak for our CEO Tony Vincique, which was decisive in making this happen, and every colleague of the Sony Pictures film group all over the world when I say:” Yes, yes, yes! ”
“Today the theatrical cinematographic events must be culturally seismic. The bold and large scale of Sam is that and then some. By combining his preview cinema team, with the music and stories of four young people who have changed the world, he will shake the public all over the world.
“We are deeply grateful to all sides and we can’t wait to break some rules with Sam’s solely artistic vision.”
Are you thrilled to see it? Let us know.
