Trailer for Andy Kaufman’s new documentary thanks a lot

Drafthouse Films has published the trailer of a new documentary film about the legendary comedian Andy Kaufmanand is entitled A thousand thanks.

I have always been fascinated by Kaufman and his comedy style, so this is a doctor who is very interested in watching.

The synopsis recites: “In its short, enigmatic life, Andy Kaufman entertained and pierced the audience while at the same time he left them. His work dissolved the boundaries by separating reality from fiction; His commitment to performance, both on stage and outside, made any distinction between his characters and his real life useless.

“Was it a comic, an affable sit-com star, a lounge singer, a bus boy, a professional wrestler, a hole, a provocateur or a parasite? Almost 40 years after his alleged death, a question still confused to fans and haters: “Was it really?”

“Thank you very much is the final documentary gaze on how a shy and strange boy of Long Island, New York, has become the most polarizing performance artist of the 20th century.”

The film was directed byAlex BravemanThose who said: “The greatest joy of creating a documentary about Andy Kaufman is that it is impossible to define.

“The musicality of his act, his form of form and wild tonal experimentation have given us an electrifying and enigmatic artist whose influence can still be felt through our entertainment, art and even politics. But for me, his most indelible inheritance is that he was not afraid of being the full and seductive version of himself, he doesn’t matter how the others responded.

“This is His genius. I am excited to have been able to spend so much time immersed in his world and I couldn’t be more proud to share my vision of his life and his work. “It seems that this is a must to look at! Especially for fans of the comedy or for anyone who finds funny Kaufman – or not.”

Drafthouse films will come out A thousand thanks In selected theaters and on VOD starting from 28 March 2025.
