A couple of weeks ago it was announced that a new Pokémon anime film would be released entitled Dragonite and the postmanAnd it comes from the study behind Makoto Shinkai’s Your name, Amber with youAND SuzumeComix Wave Films.
That short anime is now online for all of you to look at and have fun. It was released just in time for Pokemon Day.
The film tells Kamiryu’s moving story to Yubinya-San, who follows Hana, “A girl who admires a dragonite postman. One day, she is given a letter without a recipient and starts finding the sender with her partner Pokémon, Fuacoco.
“After discovering that the sender is a boy named Rio, he discovers that he wrote the letter for his father’s birthday, since he is currently away in the Kanto region for work. The problem is that it is already the birthday of his father … “
The story will be a race against time to deliver the message. Taku Kimurawho previously guided an episode of Star Wars: Visioni, he directed the short film.
Unfortunately, there is still no English dubbing or English subtitles for the short, but it is certainly worth trying it for the beautiful animation.
