Boba Fett had a score to be satisfied.
In Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the ClonesThe young Boba observed while the master Jedi Mace Windu beheaded his father, Jango Fett, in the heat of the battle.
For the actor Daniel Loganwho played the young cutting hunter at the age of 13, the expectation was clear, Boba would take revenge. But when Revenge of Sith Hit theaters, not only Boba was missing from history, but the fate of Mace Windu was instead sealed by Emperor Palpatine.
It turns out that it has not always been the plan.
During a recent Galaxycon Richmond panel, Logan revealed that he was originally ready to return for episode III, where Mace Windu would personally knock down.
Logan shared: “George Lucas He kept me for Revenge of SithAnd we sold ourselves, but they had not finished the title. I think it would probably have been the revenge of the Fett, because the plot, that you can go to see online, there was a storyboard that had already been created that Boba Fett had to have another scene from the Arena with Mace Windu. “
According to Logan, the duel was mapped in the first storyboards and was destined to be a moment of poetic justice.
Logan explained: “Mace would arrive in Boba as he did with Jango, but since Boba had already experienced in advance what had happened, I hit the jetpacks, flight on board or on the back.
“While I fly on the back with the jetpack along the ground, I shoot the jango blaster and the shot right between the stomach, and this is how Mace Windu had to die.”
Logan was obviously enthusiastic about the idea. He remembered that he waited for Lucasfilm, eager for his great moment.
“I was sitting there in Lucasfilm like [makes excited noises]. And I’m like “Okay, we are holding you for a year.” And I was like ‘ok.’ I kept calling: ‘Is it still my turn? Is it my turn? ‘”
But it didn’t have to be.
So what happened? Why has the time never arrived on the screen? According to Logan, Samuel L. Jackson Turn it away.
“Samuel Jackson entered George Lucas’ office and says:” You know, I don’t think this child should have the power to be able to kill someone who sits in the Jedi Council.
“And also, I don’t want to be killed by No Punk Kid.” I happen to be that punk child. “
And with this, Lucas demolished the idea. Instead of Boba Fett who proves to be a cold -blooded murderer, Mace Windu has been electrocuted and thrown out a Palpatine window.
The history of Boba’s revenge has not been completely forgotten. Years later, Star Wars: The Clone Wars He revisited the idea, with a young slic trying to break down Mace Windu, but in the end he could not leave the Jedi in life long enough to allow Palpatine to finish the job.
Logan has no grudge against Jackson, but he thinks that the actor would give one.
Logan said: “If you intend to ruin my career on that side, you could have at least given me an opportunity in the Marvel series
“Type, ‘Hey boy, sorry you didn’t kill me, but you could be my friend and, you know, iron man or something like that.'”
In the end, Boba Fett never took revenge on the screen, but it’s a fun “What If” to think about.
It would have been really nice to see Mace return for the Boba sket series and see Fett Hunt and fight the old Windu. Here’s what the Boba Fett series should have been!
