Paramount+ published the first trailer for its next criminal dramatic series Make happywhich stars Denis Quiad As a serial killer of the happy face.
The series is inspired by the history of true life Melissa MooreThe Happy Face Podcast and Autobiography Silence in shatteredWritten by Moore with M. Bridget Cook.
At 15 Moore discovered that his father was the prolific serial killer known as Happy Face. As an adult, he changed his name and kept his secret while his father served his life in prison.
The series follows Melissa (Annaleigh Ashford) “And his imprisoned father, known as Happy Face Killer (Quaid). After decades of no contact, he finally finds a way to force himself into his daughter’s life.
“In a match against the clock, Melissa must find out if an innocent man will be put to death for a crime committed by his father. During everything, he discovers the impact that his father had on the families of his victims and has to face a reckoning of his identity “.
It looks like a good show that will tell a disturbing story. Jennifer Cacicio (Your honor, shooter) acts as a showrunner for the series and the executive producer. Michael Showalter (The dropout, Tammy Faye’s eyes) also directed the first episode.
The series is scheduled for the first time on March 20.
