This week’s retro trailer is for one of my favorites Vincenzo Price movies, The last man on earth. This 1964 post-apocalyptic horror film is a chilling adaptation of Richard Matheson’s novel I am legend.
Price plays Dr. Robert Morgan in the film, a scientist who believes he is the sole survivor of a global plague that has transformed humanity into vampiric creatures. By day, Morgan hunts and disposes of the infected, fortifying his home against attacks at night.
As he struggles with isolation, guilt, and the grief of losing his family, Morgan uncovers evidence that challenges his understanding of the plague and his role in this new world.
The film has a creepy feel to it and I love Price’s performance, it’s really quite a creepy film.
