Ted Lasso actor Nick Mohammedwho played Season 1 sidekick-turned-backstabbing-bad-boy-turned-redeemable-friend Nate seems to have dropped an incredibly emotional bombshell for fans of the series!
Ted Lasso ended after the third season, with its creators telling fans that the intended three-season story arc had ended, despite the show’s immense success, and fans clamoring for more.
In the last year or so, co-stars of Jason Sudeikisas well as his co-creator Bill Lawrence, have all commented that they would be happy to return to the show, but only if Sudeikis is on board as well. And it seems like it all came together.
Mohammed posted a video on his social media account discussing the rescheduled dates for his Show Pony comedy tour.
Explaining the reason for the scheduling conflict, Mohammed explained that he has “some shots that I couldn’t move for love or money.” He added: “I can’t say what the filming is. But it will be announced shortly.”
He continued: “In the meantime, I would really appreciate it if people just didn’t speculate about what they think it might be. The last thing I want is for people to go crazy.”
Mohammed then shuffled and organized the papers he was reading, holding them up, showing the back, on which Ted Lasso’s iconic blue and yellow “BELIEVE” sign shone!
This isn’t an official announcement, but if it doesn’t mean what we all think it means, it’s just plain cruel. It looks like Warner Bros. TV’s decision to option three of the show’s stars last year will actually pay off.
I couldn’t be more excited, but I can’t wait for the official announcement, hopefully coming very soon.
