Hayden Christensenwho played Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars prequel, to which he recently expressed his gratitude The Clone Wars voice actor Matt Lanter for his role in keeping the character’s legacy alive.
According to an excerpt from the book The Dark Side Collection (via The holographic files), Christensen’s first meeting with Lanter was characterized by sincere admiration as he told him, “Thank you for keeping us Star Wars live.”
Lanter voiced Anakin Skywalker The Clone Wars across 95 episodes, depicting the incredible journey of the Jedi during the titular conflict.
The story focused on Anakin’s relationships with Obi-Wan Kenobi and his padawan Ahsoka Tano, giving fans a deeper understanding of the character’s struggles and eventual fall to the dark side.
Christensen, on the other hand, walked away from the role for 17 years after his last performance in Revenge of the Sith. He returned triumphantly to Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi in 2022 and reprized the role in Ahsokaprotagonist next Rosario Dawson.
As for the future, Christensen remains excited about revisiting the Star Wars universe and said, “I would love to do more and I would love to continue with Star Wars.
“I don’t know what the future holds for me and if an opportunity like that comes along, I will be there with a big smile on my face. And if not, I feel really grateful to be back and to be able to do the work that I did in both Obi Wan AND Ahsoka.”
Both Christensen and Lanter did a great job portraying Anakin Skywalker and the character remains a fantastic and vital character in the film. Star Wars universe.
