New trailer for the fifth and final season of Netflix’s hit thriller series YOU, which takes us down memory lane

Netflix has released a new trailer for the fifth and final season of the hit thriller series You. The trailer takes us on a trip down memory lane and gives us an April release date to look forward to.

In the epic fifth and final season, Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) returns to New York to enjoy her happy ending… until her perfect life is threatened by the ghosts of her past and her dark desires.

Over the course of the season, Joe will not only meet a young woman, played by Madeline Beerwhich will make him reconsider his comfortable life, but will also have to deal with that of his wife Kate (Charlotte Richie) brothers.

In addition to Badgley and Ritchie, there is Brewer (The Handmaid’s Tale), who will play Bronte, an enigmatic, free-spirited playwright who gets a job at Joe’s new bookstore.

As the two discuss literature and loss, Bronte fuels Joe’s nostalgia for himself, causing him to question everything his life has become.

Griffin Matthews (The flight attendant) plays Teddy Lockwood, Joe’s irreverent but loyal brother-in-law. A confidant who has never been fully accepted by the Lockwood family, Teddy brings authenticity and empathy to a family for whom these things are a foreign concept.

Anna Campo (Hysteria!) plays the dual role of Raegan and Maddie Lockwood, Joe’s twin sisters-in-law. Raegan is the cunning and ruthless chief financial officer of Lockwood Corp. who has her sights set on the throne and who will crush any adversary… whether it’s family or not.

Maddie, on the other hand, comes across as the less-than-serious twin, a thrice-divorced socialite whose job is “vaguely PR.” But make no mistake: Behind Maddie’s frivolous facade lies a master manipulator.

Season 5 recurring cast includes Natasha Behnam (The girls on the bus) as Dominique, who appears to be an aloof hipster; B (they/them) (Station 19, Birds of the Empire) as Phoenix, a shrewd and resourceful person with a strong moral code; Pete Ploszek (Parks and recreation) as Harrison, Joe’s golden retriever brother-in-law; Tom Francesco (Sunset Boulevard) as Clayton, a pretentious, self-centered aspiring author whose vindictive and controlling nature attracts Joe’s attention; Nava Mau (Little reindeer) as Detective Marquez.

As if that wasn’t enough, Badgley had previously joked Tudum: a global fan event that a familiar face from Joe’s past will come back to haunt him in season five, creating problems for his return home to the Big Apple.
