Adam Scott says he’s not sure he’ll be in another comic book movie after MADAME WEB but ‘Never say never’

Adam Scott he is best known for a myriad of roles, such as his role as the cute love interest in the sitcom Parks and recreationthe idiot brother in the movie Stepbrothersand his incredibly intense and multifaceted Lumon employee in the psychological thriller series Separation. He played a lot of interesting characters, and being a self-described “comic book nerd”, a role in a comic book movie seemed like a good fit, but unfortunately, the movie he signed up for, 2024 Mrs. Webit was a box office bomb.

When you talk to Comic Book about its next season of SeparationScott was asked if he could see himself in another comedy film, and he replied:

“I’m not sure. I think it’s a genre that, certainly, as an audience member, I participate in. I like seeing all those movies, I watch them all.

During the promotion Mrs. WebScott talked about his comics roots as a child, growing up buying comics from the Atlantis Fantasyworld comic shop in California. He told The Jess Cagle Show:

“As a child I was really passionate about comics. I actually grew up in Santa Cruz, California, where they filmed Lost Boys. And the comic book store here [1987’s The Lost Boys] it was the comic book store I went to almost every day to buy all my latest comics. And my next door neighbor, Joe Ferrara, owned it, so I would go there every day and he had the latest comics that interested me.

I love that story! As a big fan of The lost boysI understand that it would be the perfect introduction to the world of comics. I wish I could have shopped and hung out there too. It seems like Scott just doesn’t know what the future holds, but hopefully he’s able to return to the world of comic book movies and make one that holds up a little better. He’s a fantastic actor and it would be great to see him step into that world.
