Vertigo Releasing has released a trailer for the war action thriller film titled Sunray: Fallen Soldierwho is described as a “veteran protagonist, created by a veteran”.
The film’s makers have drawn on their experiences in the armed forces to create what they want to be the most accurate and authentic portrayal of Royal Marine Commandos combat ever seen on screen.
In the film, “A war veteran invites friends from his past to hunt down those responsible for his daughter’s death. Along the way, he learns more about himself than he bargained for as a violent crime syndicate unravels in his wake.
“After dedicating his entire life to serving in the armed forces, Andrew Coleman now struggles to reintegrate into a world he no longer recognizes. Forced to face the death of his daughter following a fatal drug encounter, he is determined to find those responsible…”
Sunray: Fallen Soldier is co-directed by James Clarke AND Daniel Pastoreboth making their directorial debut. Movie stars Tip Cullen, Tom Leigh, Steven Blades, Luke SolomonAND Daniel Davids.
Most of the creative team are ex-Royal Marines who have experienced the direct effects of war, including the loss of friends. Veterans were employed throughout the production both on and off screen.
It looks like an intense and brutal film and I can’t wait to watch it. Vertigo Releasing will debut Sunray: Fallen Soldier in select theaters and on VOD starting January 24, 2025.
