Trailer for the Peacock Documentary DIDDY: THE MAKING OF A BAD BOY After the Rise and Fall of Sean Combs

A trailer has been released for the Peacock documentary, Diddy: The making of a bad boyfollowing the rise and fall of rap mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Peacock says the 90-minute special chronicles “Combs’ early years and his decade-long transformation into Puffy and then Diddy, with crucial insight into the forces that shaped the man and may have made him a monster.”

The trailer interviews many of those who were closest to Combs, revealing how they feel when faced with multiple criminal charges and more than two dozen lawsuits.

According to the official logline: “With never-before-seen footage and stories from those who know him best, Diddy: The making of a bad boy sheds light on his childhood, his rise to fame and recent criminal charges, challenging viewers to rethink everything they thought they knew about the music mogul and the mug shot.

The special features exclusive, never-before-seen footage from Diddy’s parties at home and in the studio, plus revealing interviews with some of those who knew Diddy best, including his childhood friend, his former bodyguard and a “Making the Band” winner.

Singer/songwriter/producer Al B. Sure!, who was Diddy’s labelmate at Uptown Records and was in a relationship with Kim Porter before she started dating Diddy, is also speaking out for the first time.

Arrested on September 16, 2024, in the lobby of a New York hotel, Combs is accused of racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. Currently already behind bars and repeatedly denied bail, Combs’ trial is set to begin May 5, 2025.

Diddy: The making of a bad boy will premiere on Tuesday, January 14. Watch the trailer below:
