Netflix has released an intense trailer for its star-studded limited series, Day Zero. The thriller is the protagonist Robert De Niro as a former US president who is brought out of retirement to investigate a nationwide cyberattack.
It is reached by Angela Bassetto, Lizzy Caplan, Jesse Plemon, Joan Allen, Connie Britton, Matteo Modine, Dan Stevens, Bill Campo, Gaby HoffmannAND Clark Gregg.
From creators and executive producers Eric Newman (Narcos), Noah Oppenheim (Jackie) and Michael S. Schmidt, Day Zero stars De Niro as respected former US President George Mullen, who, as head of the Zero Day Commission, is tasked with finding the perpetrators of a devastating cyberattack that has caused chaos across the country and thousands of victims.
As misinformation spreads and the personal ambitions of the powerful in tech, Wall Street, and government collide, Mullen’s unwavering pursuit of the truth forces him to face his dark secrets while risking everything he holds dear.
Day Zero is written and produced by Newman and Oppenheim, with Lesli Linka Glatter serving as executive producer and director of all six episodes. Schmidt also serves as writer and executive producer, with De Niro and Jonathan Glickman serving as executive producers.
Day Zero will debut on Netflix on February 20. Watch the trailer below:
