The cast for Screams 7 continues to grow with the addition of Sam Rechner (The Fabelmans) who will join Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, Celeste O’Connor, McKenna GraceAND Isabel May.
Deadline states: “No word on the character he plays.”
Sam Rechner played Logan Hall in Steven Spielberg’s film The Fabelmansa high school bully who targets the main character. He also starred in the TV series High heartbreak.
The next chapter of Cry will involve a “big time jump” after the events of the last film. This is how Sidney’s children grew up to the appropriate age for slasher films.
It had already been said previously Screams 7 “will have two main plots, one about Sid and his neighborhood friends, and the second about Taylor, Sid’s teenage daughter (could be a code name) and her friends. Each of them will have to deal with Ghostface.”
Sid and Gale will reportedly face some sort of Ghostface cult. Courteney Cox will return as Gale Weathers, and Patrick Dempsey as Detective Mark Kincaid.
Cry creator and writer Kevin Williamson is set to lead Scream VII AND Guy Busickwriter of 2022 Cry AND Scream VIhe’s writing the screenplay.
The seventh installment of the franchise will be released in theaters on February 27, 2026.
