Marvel Studios has released a new clip from What if…? Season 3, and features Captain America (Sam Wilson) and Monica Rambeau piloting massive Mechs as they come across a massive “Apex” Kaiju that they will eventually have to fight.
The “Apex” Kaiju leads an army of monsters into the ocean. To combat this threat, the Avengers will assemble their Gundam-like Mech suits to form a massive Avenger robot clearly inspired by Voltron.
I’ve also included the list of Season 3 episode titles, which tease what we can expect to see from the episodes.
Marvel Studios head of streaming, television and animation Brad Winderbaum teased the third season, saying, “It takes us places you would never expect.
“It goes beyond the first two seasons in its exploration of the Multiverse and involves some truly unexpected characters. It has what I think is an extremely moving and fulfilling climax to Uatu, The Watcher.”
The Marvel animated series returns for its climactic adventure across the multiverse. “Watch as classic characters make unexpected choices that transform their worlds into spectacular alternate versions of the MCU.
“The Observer (Jeffrey Wright) will guide viewers as the series crosses new genres, bigger shows, and incredible new characters.
The episodes are directed by Bryan Andrews AND Stephan Franck and are written by Matthew Chauncey, Ryan PiccoloAND AC Bradley.
The executive producers are Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Luigi D’Esposito, Dana Vasquez-EberhardtAND Bryan Andrews.
What if…? Season 3 will premiere on Disney+ on December 22nd with a new episode every day for 8 days.
